RATE CHANGE EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 2013 Refuse (garbage pick up) rate - will go from $20.50 to $21.00. Please
contact the Village during regular business hours with any questions. The water rate will go from $5.00 per 1,000 gallons to $5.50 per 1,000 gallons. The minimum charge
will go from $50.00 per billing cycle to $55.00 for water in addition to the refuse rate above. Regular bills will show a minimum charge, after May
1 of $97.00 ($55 for Water, $42.00 for refuse).
How often will I receive a
water bill?
The Village bills for water and refuse (garbage) every other month.
As of May 1,
2013, each residence will be subject to a monthly charge of $21.00 for refuse (garbage pickup) and
a miniumum charge of $55.00 per billing cycle for water. Any water usage over 10,000 gallons uring the two
month cycle will be billed at a rate of $5.50 per thousand gallons. The due date for each cycle is
located on the left hand side of the card, above the box with the account number.
How
do I get a garbage can?
Please call the Village during normal business hours and provide name, address, ownership information,
closing date and move-in date for your residence. Village staff will notify the disposal company and you
should receive your can and recycle cart within 2-4 weeks.
All subdivisions will have their garbage picked
up on Monday. Place your cans out the night before the pick up day, as the disposal company
will come through very early in the morning. If, for any reason, your garbage is not picked up please contact Village
Hall as soon as possible. Village staff will make every effort to try to get your garbage picked up that same day. The following holidays are observed: New
Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on a Sunday,
Monday will be an off day with service delayed one day the remainder of the week.
